Photo-realism and trompe l'oeil, with some global political allegory thrown in. After September 11, I started looking for some sort of image I could use to express my range of emotions. Here is the world, locked in time and space, with all eyes focused on North America. Somehow the BBC reporters I could find on cable TV channels that day had a better idea of what was going on over here than any US reporters. We were all in shock. The things we were seeing simply did not happen in America.
