Red Letter Rolls

Rolls-Royce used red letters on the radiator mascot until 1933. One
camp says the color was changed to black to commemorate the death
of Royce, the other camp says that the red color often clashed with the
body color of the car. One rumor has it that the Duke of Windsor voiced
his opinion against the red monogram, and that was why it changed.
My painting has the "Spirit of Ecstasy" in full flight atop the
radiator cap, with an attached monogram, etched with the lettering of
the great company name.
